Let there (not) be rain... Oh crap.

So, I haven't posted like I've been wanting to. I've got a good reason though: My room exploded.

Well, actually, I'm lying.
And it all starts on July 3rd with the broken toilet in my parents' bathroom.
I live, literally, right underneath their bathroom floor. So my brother decides to use their toilet and doesn't realize that it will run and run and run, filling up the toilet to overflowing.
It does, of course.
FML.

It overflowed for an hour, all the time nobody realizing it. It totally ruined the carpeting and floor that the initial (idiotic) owners installed in the bathroom (why would you do that?!). We thought it only got there, and had fans on all day to take care of the problem.

So I come home from my friend's house, not knowing anything is wrong. I grab a pair of jeans out of my room. The entire left leg was drenched. I shook my head, growling about how my brothers can never keep the counter dry. I tossed them to the laundry and grabbed another pair of shorts. Completely soaked through.
It was at this point I took a look at my bed through the bathroom's second door (it leads to my room, weird layout - don't ask). I felt around and saw that the mattress, pillow, ceiling, walls, and most of my clothes were absolutely saturated with water.
I looked up to see a bubble the size of an inflated basketball in the drywall making my ceiling and did what any self-respecting teenager would do in that situation.
I screamed my f*cking head off, swore, and almost collapsed on the floor.

I spent the rest of my night trying to get anything wet and ruined out of the room. Not everything was wet, but it got to 85% of my clothes (some of which are just not the same after my mother and I washed and dried it all at Launderland), several books (I'm sorry, Mr. G. I'll buy you a new copy of The Shadow of the Wind), Some of my electronics (But thank god Charlie still works), and three notebooks and a folder worth of history notes, story ideas, my best drawings, and letters.
I had an interesting 4th of July party, but that'll be another post.

I am now residing at my grandparents' house for the end of the summer, sleeping in their garage room on an air mattress (rather than my brothers' cracker-covered futon in the game room). It's not great, but it's home for now. I'm getting thrown out on my a*s as soon as school starts, but we're gonna have to move I'm sure. The smell is god-awful and we have no insurance or money to pay for repairs.

I will be on and off, because my computer had a virus months ago anyway.
May I say again, FML.
